After a major snowstorm in January, it was clear that I had to check out Ukraine's "local" ski areas. Most people in Kiev explained to me how it is Bukovel, that is the only proper ski area in Ukraine. And I am sure they are correct - it has nicely groomed ski runs, faster chair lifts, and more polished hotels. But if you only ski outside of the lifts - then, who cares?

I just became a proud home-owner in.. Turkey! A friend from Kiev, Andrew, described his Villa that looks over the Mediterranian Sea, as both romantic, and practical. I had to see it for myself. In the end, I decided to buy the Villa next door to his. I hope that it was a "good bet."
